Designed to support students taking courses on the Economics of the Internet at the universities of Portsmouth and Surrey (UK) but open to anyone interested in these matters.
About Me
- Name: Guy
- Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom
My main non-academic interest is football. I have been a fanatical supporter of Watford Football Club since 1958. I was an occasional contributor to the unofficial Watford Supporters Web Fanzine Blind, Stupid and Desperate (BSaD) - sadly discontinued at the end of August 2006. I travel abroad when I can, especially to Greece which is my favourite place to be. In the last few years I have also visited Botswana, Cape Verde, Lebanon, Mauritius, South Africa, Syria and Zambia.

I have just been reminded that I use lower case letters for the first letter of both my name and the word internet in the title of this blog. Touche!
The Internet is over 40 years old! The Internet has changed our world for the better. It brings people thousands of miles apart closer together. It gets things done, bringing back the Whispa bar via a Facebook group! But it also brings problems: identity theft, viruses and hacker attacks.
